About Harbour & Home
Who is Harbour & Home for?
Harbour & Home is for people who would like a little extra help to manage everyday life at home, without needing traditional care services.
We can help older adults who are finding some household tasks more difficult, people who are recovering from a period of illness or change, or anyone who simply needs an extra pair of hands from time to time.
We also support families who live further away and want reassurance that someone reliable can visit their loved one and provide practical help when they cannot be there themselves.
Support can be regular, occasional or arranged as a one-off, depending on what works for you.
What can support look like?
Sometimes it is the everyday jobs that become difficult to keep on top of. Harbour & Home provides practical help with the things that can make a home feel more manageable and everyday life a little easier. This might mean getting the house back in order, sorting through paperwork, collecting shopping or prescriptions, helping organise a room, or simply having someone there for company and reassurance. The support provided is agreed with you and can be adapted from visit to visit. You remain involved in your own choices and routines, while we take care of the practical tasks you would like help with.
How it works?
Getting started is straightforward. Contact Harbour & Home by phone, email or through our enquiry form to tell us a little about what you are looking for.
We can then arrange a free introductory home visit to meet you, understand what you need and discuss how we may be able to help.
There is no obligation to book. If Harbour & Home is the right fit for you, we will agree the services, frequency and timing of visits together before support begins.
Support can be arranged as regular weekly or occasional visits, or as a one-off service for a particular household task or project.
Support you can feel confident about.
Harbour & Home provides practical, domestic and companionship support. We are not a care agency and do not provide personal care, nursing or clinical services, medication administration or manual handling.
We work within clear service boundaries so that you know exactly what support we can provide. If something falls outside our service, we will be honest about this and, where appropriate, suggest another option or service that may be more suitable.
